I’m Rachael Shah a multi-award winning digital marketing and project management professional, with a career spanning in-house and agency environments working with clients ranging from SMEs to household names such as the BBC, British Red Cross & The Scout Association.

I’m currently a Delivery Manager at Co-Op Digital working on transformational digital innovation for the community sector, and am Deputy President of JCI (Junior Chamber International) Manchester, a chapter global organisation connecting and developing young professionals (18-40), and delivering against the United Nation SDG’s.  I’m also a mentor on the One Million Mentors programme which aims to train, recruit and connect a million mentors to a million young people in order to increase youth employability, support social action and help break down social barriers.

My passion is about leveraging the ever evolving tools & techniques available in the digital world to deliver results whether that’s financial return, growth in brand exposure, increased user retention and improved team health & performance. I have also spoken at events and conferences including Deliver Conference, Deliver Sessions, Lean Agile Manchester and Camp Digital.

My journey has been unique, I studied International Business at Sheffield Hallam; which meant I lived in Spain for a year working for Iberia Airlines, helping to integrate their brand with Oneworld for their merger with British Airways.  This gave me the marketing bug- and led me to work for agencies & in-house brands; including UKFast, Harper James, Peppermint Soda, BDB and magneticNorth, British Red Cross & Reason Digital. I believe in continual learning, and have since completed my IDM Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing – here’s my review of the course, SCRUM Master & PRINCE 2 project qualifications and am currently doing a part-time MBA.

On this blog, I share my thoughts and insights from talks and blogs and separately i’ve been writing week notes on medium.

I’m very open to comments, feedback and suggestions – and if you want to get in touch: email me herevisit my linkedin page, follow me on Twitter, or use the contact form at the bottom of this page.
