I’m Rachael Shah, and this year I made the move in house to work as a Digital Projects Executive at the British Red Cross. Currently responsible for the development of our First Aid training e-commerce website it’s a role that builds on my broad experience of digital marketing.
Over the last 5 years, I’ve been agency side working with clients including the BBC, Astra Zeneca, Manchester Camerata, The Diane Modhal Sports Foundation, Ingredion and TATA Steel and Ten Acres Crisps.
My passion is about leveraging the ever evolving tools available in the digital world to deliver results whether that’s financial return, growth in brand exposure, increased user retention, greater market share or even new perspectives. I have also spoken at prestigious events and conferences including DPM:UK
My journey has been unique, I studied International Business at Sheffield Hallam; which took me to live in Spain for a year working for Iberia Airlines, helping to integrate their brand with Oneworld for their merger with British Airways. This gave me the marketing bug- and led me to work for companies including UKFast, Harper James, Peppermint Soda, BDB and magneticNorth. I believe in continuing study, and have since completed my IDM Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing – here’s my review of the course as well.
On this blog, I hope to share my thoughts and insights into the incredible potential of digital; across branding, SEO, advertising, social-media and many other channels.
